Jason Ulmer

Jason Ulmer is a former NCAA and professional hockey player. Ulmer helped lead the University of North Dakota to two National Championships in 1997 and 2000.
Over the course of a 16-year professional career, Ulmer played in multiple leagues and countries, gaining valuable experience and exposure to different styles of hockey.
Following his professional career, Ulmer transitioned to coaching and player development. He served as the Director of The Hockey Academy in Grand Forks, where he focused on nurturing young talent and building strong foundations for future players. Ulmer has also coached at all levels of youth hockey, including Tier 1 programs and had the opportunity to coach at the NCAA level with the University of North Dakota.
Currently, Ulmer serves as the Youth Hockey Director for the Grand Forks Youth Hockey Association, where he continues to shape the next generation of hockey players through his knowledge of the game and passion for development.
Margot Miller

Margot Miller, originally from Detroit, Michigan, began her journey in youth hockey within the Honeybaked Organization and later honed her skills at the prestigious Shattuck St. Mary’s, where she helped her team win a USA Hockey National Championship. Miller continued her hockey career at the University of North Dakota, playing from 2008 to 2012.
Her coaching career began in 2013 with Grand Forks Youth Girls Hockey, and she expanded her reach in 2014 when she took on a coaching role with East Grand Forks High School. Miller has been an assistant coach with the Grand Forks KnightRiders since the 2014-2015 season, where she continues to make a significant impact on player development.
Throughout her coaching journey, Miller has been involved with numerous hockey development organizations, including The Hockey Academy, ND High Performance, Team ND, and Northern Plains. She is currently serving as the Girls and Growth Development Director at Grand Forks Youth Hockey Association (GFYHA) and is the Northeast District Director at the North Dakota Amateur Hockey Association (NDAHA).
Margot’s passion lies in growing the girls’ game both in her community and at the state level. She is committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for young female athletes and continues to advocate for the advancement of women’s hockey across North Dakota.
